Looking Below the Surface to Stop Problems Before They Start

While it’s hard to deny that seeing is believing, sometimes you have to look down below the surface to truly get the entire picture. One common example: An iceberg, which is located almost entirely out of sight, beneath the surface of the water.

The orthodontists at Orthodontics, Inc. want our patients to understand that although we conduct a careful examination of their teeth, the same is true when it comes to getting a comprehensive picture of their oral health: We’ve got to look below the surface. That’s why we rely on x-rays to pinpoint things that may be hidden from our view. The x-ray technology used by our office is safer than in the past, limiting the exposure to patients

The images we capture allow us to detect potential problems like missing or extra teeth, teeth that are growing into the wrong positions, and impacted teeth. Those impacted teeth can keep adult teeth from growing in correctly, as well as damaging the roots of other teeth and causing crowding. Spotting conditions like this early on makes them much easier to fix. That’s why we recommend that a child’s first visit to our offices take place by age 7.

Our orthodontic specialists have years of training beyond basic dental school in how our teeth develop and move into their proper positions, and getting a clear picture is a key part of our plan for delivering a healthy, radiant smile that will last for years to come. We use only the latest technology and materials to deliver our treatment options, offering our patients a standard of care that is second to none.

Attention to detail and a deep commitment to our patients’ care and comfort are what sets the orthodontists at Orthodontics, Inc. apart from the rest. Please contact our office today for an appointment!
